The wonderful truth about creating art is that no matter what you are creating it will always be one of a kind.  I love Up-cycled furniture for two reasons. First, when you make a good piece of up-cycled furniture you are saving the planet one piece of trash at a time. Second, every piece of up-cycled furniture is so unique that each one could potentially stand on its own as a work of art.

My friend, Amanda has definitely perfected the art of up-cycling. She can take anything and make it more beautiful and functional instead of throwing it in the trash heap. I absolutely love going to her garage because it is filled with all the fun tools you would need to create anything. She also has collected so many pieces over the years that she will not be short of projects anytime soon. In the video she walks us through how she will take a broken directors chair and an old clunker suit case and make a comfy one of a kind chair. Enjoy!
